The late Patricia “Pat” McCoy was honored by the EBCI Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault program on Tuesday, April 19. Manuel Maples and Brandi Cooper, McCoy’s nephew and niece, plant a rose bush in the front area of the Ernestine Walkingstick Shelter on Tuesday in honor and memory of Pat’s many years of service to the EBCI and the program. Betty Smith, EBCI DVSA program, related, “As you go through life, you remember how people treated you, and that’s how I remember Pat. She was a rock.”
