Dave Lossiah, 37, of Cherokee, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 12, 2011 at home. He was born Aug. 30, 1973 and was a resident of the Bigwitch Community.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Candy Lossiah, and a sister, Lydia Marie Lossiah.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Marie Lossiah of Cherokee; sisters, Rita Faye Hornbuckle, Billie Jean Lossiah, Jennie Lossiah, and Encie Lossiah, all of Cherokee; brothers, William “Eddie” Lossiah and John “Freddie” Lossiah of Cherokee and Charlie “Bowzer” Lossiah of Petersburg, Va. He is also survived by ten nieces and one nephew.
The family will receive friends at Bigwitch Baptist Church beginning at 6pm on Saturday, Jan. 15 where the body will remain until the service hour of 2pm on Sunday, Jan. 16. The Rev. Denny Crowe and the Rev. Jimbo Sneed will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lossiah Cemetery.
