Faolan Grady, an EBCI tribal member of the Yellowhill Community, is calling for short stories, poetry, essays, and artwork (including photography) submissions for a literary magazine that he will assemble for publication at Warren Wilson College. This is a project that he is completing as a part of his senior year at Warren Wilson where he is majoring in Creative Writing. His focus is on local writers that may have never been published , but he also welcomes those who have been published and submissions of all types.
“I have received a few pieces in my first call for submissions but would like to have a few more,” he said, “The pieces are very creative and I’m excited about putting them together for the magazine.”
All submissions will be read by a team that Faolan developed a few months ago. Some pieces may be edited for length or grammar, but the writer will have the final approval of any editing before publication.
Anyone that submits a piece will be given a copy of the final magazine. Please send your submissions to faolangrady@yahoo.com. You may reach him at 1-828/707-5694 (cell) or 497-2442-home.
