Swain County Deputies assisted Probation Officers with a probation search at a residence on Dogwood Cove Rd in Bryson City on Monday, March 15. While conducting the search probation officer and detectives found 19 grams of Methamphetamine, 10.5 grams of Cocaine, 15 grams of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. Also assisting in the search were detectives from Cherokee Indian Police Department. Three suspects were arrested at the residence and were charged as follows.
Loretta Bradley
Loretta Jean Bradley, of Bryson City, was charged with Possession of Schedule II (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She received a $10,000 secured bond.
Danny William Ratliff
Danny William Ratliff, of Whittier, was charged with Possession with intent to sell or deliver schedule II (Methamphetamine), Possession with intent to sell or deliver schedule II (Cocaine), Simple Possession of Schedule VI (Marijuana), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon (handgun). He received a $30,000 bond.
Tiffany Renee Trull
Tiffany Renee Trull, of Canton, was charged with Possession with intent to sell or deliver Schedule II (Methamphetamine), Possession with intent to sell or deliver Schedule II (Cocaine), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was given a $30,000 secured bond.
Swain County Sheriff Curtis Cochran says this is another example of how working with different agencies and working together has benefited the residents of Swain County. “These arrests are a direct result of the drug task force that has been in place for sometime in Swain County.” Sheriff Cochran also stated that the fight against drugs is a top priority for his office. “We will continue to fight this problem. The Swain County Sheriff’s Office has a Zero tolerance policy concerning drugs in Swain County.”
Cherokee Chief of Police Ben Reed stated, “Our task force done a great job in this investigation. There have been a lot of drug busts this past year that would not have been possible without the working relationships of our surrounding counties and federal agencies. The drug task force will continue to work hard to make arrests and get drugs out of our communities. Not only the drug task force is working hard, but every Patrol Officer, Sheriff Deputy, Probation Officer, and Federal Agent that makes these arrests possible. I want to thank God again, for no one getting hurt while making these arrests.”
