EBCI moves to four-day week, closes all lobbies
Principal Chief Richard G. Sneed announced on Wednesday, March 18 that the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI) will be closing on Fridays until further notice.
Restaurants on tribal lands, state directed to close dining rooms; take-out permitted
Restaurants throughout the State of North Carolina were directed to close their dining rooms as of Wednesday, March 18 in efforts to reduce the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Museum of the Cherokee closing until at least April 1
After careful consideration, we have made the decision to close the Museum as of March 17, 2020 until at least April 1, 2020.

BASKETBALL: Cherokee tames Wildcats
To cap off a week of basketball – three games in four days – Cherokee’s varsity basketball teams swept Andrews at Charles George Arena on Friday, Dec. 13. The Lady Braves (7-1) beat up on the Lady Wildcats 79-27 and the Braves (4-4) got to .500 on the year with a big 77-44 win.
BASKETBALL: Lady Braves ground Lady Rockets; Braves hurt by shooting percentage
The Cherokee Lady Braves (6-1) defeated the A.C. Reynolds Lady Rockets 66-41 at Charles George Arena on Thursday, Dec. 12. The Braves (3-4) fell to the Rockets 87-64 after shooting only 35 percent from the field.
