Gary LeQuire – obituary

Gary LeQuire, 56, of the Alarka Community, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017. A native of Swain County, he was the son of Arvil LeQuire of Bryson City and the late Shirley Ivans LeQuire. In addition to his mother, he is also preceded in death by three brothers, Billy Ray, Johnny Wayne, and Tony Edward LeQuire; and grandparents, Richard and Mary Davis and Glenn and Mae LeQuire.

 

Gary loved to attend Sawmill Hill Freewill Baptist Church. He worked at Heritage Quilts as a Quilter Operator and also as a construction worker. He loved passing time watching football and NASCAR, and talking to friends.

 

In addition to his father, Gary is also survived by one daughter, Garyetta Phillips and husband Jay of Bryson City; three grandchildren; three brothers, Darrell LeQuire and wife Stormie, Brandon LeQuire and wife Gianna both of Bryson City, and Michael LeQuire and wife Thersa of Florence, Ala.; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and special friends, Freddy, Jack, Harold, Maryln, Tim, Sara, Scotty, Clinton, and many more.

 

Funeral Services will be held at 5:30pm on Saturday, Sept. 2 at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Revs. Gerald McGaha and Percy Cunningham will officiate with burial in Lauada Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends from 4:30-5:30pm on Saturday at the Funeral Home.
