Cherokee’s Musical Theater Department to put on Lion King Jr.

The Musial Theater Department at Cherokee High School and Middle Schools has cast the characters for their production of the Lion King Jr.  which will take the stage at the Chief Joyce Dugan Cultural Center on May 5-7 at 7pm.

The cast includes: Ella Montelongo as Rafiki, Jack Layno -Scar, Julian Parre-Rubio – Mufasa, Dorian Reed and CeCe Lambert as the younger and older versions of Nala, Logan Lequire – Pumba, Eason Esquivel – Timon, Kim Hendrix as Zazu and Jake Sneed and Damian Blanton as the younger and older versions of Simba.

Middle and High School Art students working on the characters and props include: Awee Sequoyah, Jessie Crowe, Jami Lossie, Makayla  Trantham, Maiya Davis, T.J. Thompson, Staci Spicer, Jordan Grant, Tierney Bradley, Shiah Pheasant and Anya Walsh.

Tickets go on sale at the Middle School and High School front office for $5 a seat for general seating beginning Monday, April 11. The Braves Cafe will offer dinner served in the lobby for $7 starting at 5:30 nightly (Dinner and a musical for only $12).
