Item No. 1 – Tabled Ord. 38 (2015) 16C-6 Minors and other legal incompetents per capita payments – TABLED, WORK SESSION WILL BE SCHEDULED

 

Item No. 2 – Debt Service Sinking Fund and the Budget Stabilization Fund be utilized to pay off the loan associated with the Waste Water Treatment Plant in its entirety including the principal and interest as well as any required elements included in the original scope of the project that are yet to be completed and the Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority reserves and investments that exceed three month operation reserve be utilized to pay down the loan associated with the Cherokee Indian Hospital new facility – TABLED, WORK SESSION WILL BE SCHEDULED

 

Item No. 3 – Debt Service Sinking Fund and other funds be utilized to pay off the loan associated with the Harrah’s Cherokee River Valley Casino in its entirety including the principal and interests as well as any required elements included in the original scope of the project that are yet to be completed and that the loan payoff be structured for all repayment amounts to be utilized for faster payoff of the larger casino debt at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort – TABLED, WORK SESSION WILL BE SCHEDULED

 

Item No. 4 – Budget Amendment: Destination Marketing, addition of CPF grant – PASSED

 

Item No. 5 – Budget Amendment: Family Support Services, addition of DHHS-LIHEAP grant – PASSED AS AMENDED

 

Item No. 6 – Budget Amendment: Emergency Management, addition of two grants – PASSED

 

Item No. 7 – Budget Amendment: Emergency telephone, add use of Fund Balance upgrade 911 telephone system – PASSED

 

Item No. 8 – Budget Amendment: Police Department, addition of Equitable Sharing Distribution Funds – PASSED

 

Item No. 9 – Budget Amendment: Natural Resources Enforcement, addition of American Police Canine Association raffle award – PASSED

 

Item No. 10 – Smokey Mountain Elementary 6th grade $500 donation and Brianna Ross, Premier Soccer fees, $250 donation – PASSED

 

Item No. 11 – Request for a new Wolftown Community Club Building – PASSED

 

Item No. 12 – Request for Council to begin negotiations with the Postal Service for a new Post Office and contract – PASSED

 

Item No. 13 – EBCI purchase property from Sequoyah family heirs for the purchase price of $1,750,000 to operate trout production facilities – TABLED
