The program runs from June through July and youth must be at least entering 7th grade by August and be an EBCI tribal member or first descendant.  Youth will grow food in the beautiful ½ acre organic garden at Kituwah, learn about healthy eating and cooking, promote traditional and local foods, and have fun with other teens in a supportive environment.  The deadline to apply is May 1.  Info: Cherokee Choices 554-6788 or 554-6786, or email joseowle@nc-cherokee.com or karrjose@nc-cherokee.com for an application.
