Cherokee Cancer Support Group is a non-profit organization assisting cancer patients and care-givers on the Boundary, indiscriminately. Their objective is to support, educate and provide individual services as needed. The support group meets the first Thursday of each month at 5:30pm at SAFE HAVEN, 40 Goose Creek Rd. SAFE HAVEN is staffed from 10am – 2pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Appointments can be made for additional assistance. Personal fittings can be arranged during these times as well. Cherokee Speakers Gathering is normally held on the fourth Thursday of every month. All Cherokee speakers and Cherokee Language learners are welcome to enjoy a potluck dinner and an evening of fellowship in the Cherokee language.
