Martha Junaluska Taylor, 98, of the Birdtown Community went home to be with the Lord Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014 in a Cherokee Healthcare facility. A native of Cherokee, she was the daughter of the late James and Emaline Blyth Junaluska, and wife of the late Dave Taylor. Preceded in death by two brothers, Mark and Arch Junaluska and two sisters, Sallie Locust and Winnie Cole.
She is survived by four children; Betsy Taylor, Sam Taylor, Jonah Taylor and wife Jody, and Truman Taylorand wife Bea, all of Cherokee; eight grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 30 great great grandchildren; one sister Lilian Thompson of Cherokee.
Funeral Services were held at 11am on Sunday, Oct. 26 at Bethabara Baptist Church. Rev. Eddie Sherrill and James (Bo) Parris officiated with burial in the Birdtown Cemetery.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
