Sequoyah Remembrance Day

Aug. 3 at the Sequoyah Birthplace Museum in Vonore, Tenn.  Free admission to the Museum from 12-5pm.  Allen Fugate will be demonstrating silversmithing along with other Cherokee artisans demonstrating their skills.    The 1809 Cherokee Blacksmith shop will be up and running with demonstrations all day.  Cherokee Nation citizen Julie Reed will lecture at 2pm on the Old Settlers.  EBCI tribal member Kristy Long will be selling her crafts throughout the day as well.  Info: Sequoyah Birthplace Museum (423) 884-6246
