Joseph Allen Owle – obituary

Joseph Allen Owle, 50, of Whittier, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013 at his sister’s residence. A native of Swain County he was the son of the late Clifton Jack and Dorothy Pauline Owle. He was also preceded in death by one sister; Wanda Faye Owle, one nephew; Gregory Owle, and one niece; Ericka Hicks.

He is survived by one daughter; Joanna Owle of Whittier, three brothers; Sammy Owle and wife Alice of Cherokee, McKinley Owle and wife Patricia of Cherokee, and Richard Owle of Whittier, and four sisters; Linda Baxley and husband David of Whittier, Joyce Blankenship of Whittier, Peggy DeHart and husband Martin of Whittier, and Tina Saunooke and husband Stephen of Cherokee.

Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Friday, Oct. 18 at Boiling Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Ricky Stepp will officiate with burial in the Birdtown Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-9pm on Thursday at Crisp Funeral Home where the body will remain until placed in the Church one hour prior to the service.
