International design firm Cuningham Group Architecture, Inc. (Cuningham Group®) recently accepted industry-leading recognition awards for “Best Buffet” and “Best Theatrical Experience” for Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort in Cherokee, North Carolina. This marks the third and fourth HOSPY Awards for the $650 million expansion and renovation project which captured “Best Lobby” and “Best Suites” honors in 2011.

The prestigious awards, created and administered by Global Gaming Business magazine, are given out during the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas. The HOSPY Awards recognize extraordinary achievement in architecture, design, and development in the hospitality industry. The awards event also raises funds for student scholarships in architecture, interior design, construction, hotel management, gaming management and culinary arts.

“We are thrilled that the Cuningham Group received two HOSPY Awards for “Best Buffet” and “Best Theatrical Experience” for the resort. These award-winning designs are delighting our guests and are instrumental in helping to position Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort as the premier resort destination in the Southeast and a first-rate entertainment and tourism destination,” said Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort’s Senior Vice President and General Manager Brooks Robinson.
